The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters (NABOB), a division of the U.S. Black Chambers, INC. (USBC), is the first recipient of the General Motors Diverse Owned Incubator Fund. As part of General Motors’ “Road to Equity” efforts to become the most inclusive company in the world, the $50 million Diverse Owned Incubator Fund is an investment allocated over the next 10 years to support and scale diverse media and marketing companies. To achieve the mission of the fund, NABOB announced the creation of two original video and audio podcast series covering commercial broadcast station acquisition and digital sales strategy.

NABOB is the first and only trade organization representing the interests of African-American owners of radio and television stations across the country. The association was organized in 1976 by a small group of African-American broadcasters who desired to establish a voice and a viable presence in the industry and to address specific concerns facing African-American broadcasters.
