Welcome to NABOB – the voice of Black-owned Broadcasters. Since our establishment in 1976, we’ve proudly served as the nation’s sole trade association for Black radio owners. Now under the umbrella of U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., we remain steadfast in our commitment to advocating for Black media owners and policies that propel the ongoing advancement of media representation.
As the largest Black-owned media association, NABOB stands at the forefront, amplifying stories, nurturing emerging media talent, and driving progress within the industry. Our vision at NABOB is to create a future where Black-owned broadcasters thrive, where their voices resound with strength and impact, and where diverse narratives flourish across all media platforms.
NABOB is a instrumental vertical of USBC Media, where we envision a landscape where Black media owners have equitable opportunities for success, where their stories are celebrated and amplified, and where they serve as influential leaders in shaping the media landscape.
NABOB is dedicated to enhancing opportunities and fostering success for Black and minority media owners. Through advocacy and informative resources, we support crucial aspects of business, including advertising sales, station acquisition, financing, and federal broadcast regulation.
NABOB is a part of the USBC Network, which represents 172 Black Chambers and over 300,000 Black businesses nationwide. NABOB members can leverage the USBC ecosystem to its fullest potential. Together, we’re amplifying voices, driving growth, and fostering success across our vibrant community.
